Andriy Syvak, a partner of Shkrebets&Partners, analyzed the peculiarities of land legal relations during the martial law in Ukraine.
On March 24, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis and in general the law №7178 of March 19, 2022 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Creating Conditions for Ensuring Food Security in Martial Law”, which provides for the regulation of land relations on the use of agricultural land for the period of martial law.
The purpose of the law is to ensure food security in martial law, which requires the use in 2022 of all available agricultural land for the sowing campaign and ensure intensive agricultural production.
The author analyzed the main changes and features provided by this law, identified the effect it may have on the economy of Ukraine under martial law.
