In connection with the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation to the territory of Ukraine, the emergence of legislation in Ukraine on the forcible seizure of property rights of the aggressor country in Ukraine is natural. As a result, the Verkhovna Rada registered and subsequently passed a law amending the forcible seizure of property in Ukraine by the Russian Federation and its residents. Currently, Bill 7169 is being signed by the President.
Ruslan Bekuzarov, a lawyer at Shkrebets&Partners, analyzed the above-mentioned changes for compliance with current Ukrainian and international legislation and identified further prospects for their application.
