Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has highlighted a number of issues that have been discussed in Ukrainian society from time to time, but have not had legislative development.
One of such issues is, in particular, the legalization of weapons, and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the first reading supported the bill № 5708 on the right to civilian firearms, which was analyzed by an attorney of “Shkrebets and Partners”, Yana Rybak in a material for the newspaper “Legal Practice” .
The author identified the main provisions and innovations of the bill, as well as predicted the possible consequences that will result from the adoption of the bill: both positive and negative.
