At the end of December 2016 advocates of Attorneys-at-law “Shkrebets and partners” successfully defended client’s interests in a dispute with the specialized state tax inspection service of large taxpayers in Kharkiv in Kharkiv Administrative Court of Appeal. This dispute amounted to 10 million UAH.
Lawyers of Attorneys-at-law “Shkrebets and partners” took part in the IV International Forum on advancement of legal services, held on December 13-14 in Kiev. Large-scale forum dedicated to the issues of marketing development related to legal services, has become an international platform for exchange of experience in the field of promotion of legal business. Speakers, including managing partners, partners and directors of marketing with leading law firms of different countries, highlighted a number of important issues, such as: • Trends of development and promotion of legal business • Attraction and retaining of a customer • Leadership in the legal business • Future of the legal market • Legal film-battle.
The event was organized by the edition “Yuridicheskaya praktika”.
December 9, 2016 in Kharkov, the Ukrainian Bar Association and the Kharkiv Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Advocate’s Association held the first East regional judicial forum of UAA. Lawyers, judges and scholars, and experts of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” discussed the most important issues on the reform of the judiciary and the executive proceeding in Ukraine, current issues of criminal justice, as well as issues of the judicial practice related to private law disputes and disputes with state. Attorneys-at-law “Shkrebets and partners” acted as one of the partners of the event.
In addition, Alexey Meniv, partner with Shkrebets and Partners, held the second session of the Forum, acting as moderator.
December 9, 2016 at the Kharkiv National Law University named after Yaroslav the Wise International Scientific Conference “Modern criminology: achievements, problems and prospects” was held. It was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the department of criminology and penal law. Shkrebets and partners appeared to be the General partner of the event. The event was attended by 90 scientists from 10 countries, representatives of 28 higher educational institutions of Ukraine. This large number of participants can be explained by serious relevancy of issues discussed at the conference.
The representative of Attorneys-at-law “Shkrebets and partners”, associate professor of criminology and penal law department, Sergey Lukashevich also participated in the event with project on the topic “Cognitive potential of synergetic paradigm in criminology”.
