Yuriy Babych, an attorney of Shkrebets&Partners, has commented on one of the bills on the responsibility of conscripts for going abroad.
On March 17, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received a bill №7171 on amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine on liability for illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine in violation of legal norms during a 11special period or during martial law. It is proposed to supplement the Criminal Code of Ukraine with a new Article 332-3.
The author explains that if the proposed changes are still adopted, only those entities that cross the state border of Ukraine after the entry into force of the above rule can be prosecuted.
