The war made adjustments to the work of many companies, including the work of Shkrebets&Partners.
What has changed, how we work now, and what plans we have for the future, said the managing partner of the Association, Evgeniy Shkrebets, in an interview for the TOP-50 special issue of the newspaper Legal Practice.
We invite you to read about how Kharkiv works now, how the war changed the format of our work, what practices are in demand and what are the expectations from 2023, in an interview with Evgeniy Fedorovych at the link:
Attorneys of Shkrebets and Partners successfully supported the Municipal Enterprise “Zhilkomservice” in a tax dispute in the amount of UAH 1.365 billion.
On November 9, 2022, the Supreme Court refused to satisfy the cassation appeal of the Northern Interregional Department of the State Tax Service on work with large taxpayers and left unchanged the decision of the Kharkiv District Administrative Court dated July 1, 2020 and the decision of the Second Appeal Administrative Court dated February 17, 2021 (in case No. 520/13607/19) , which satisfied the claim of the Municipal Enterprise “Zhylkomservice” to the tax authorities and canceled the tax notice-decision regarding the calculation of the monetary liability from the income tax in the amount of UAH 1.365 billion (including UAH 1.09 billion – for tax liabilities fines and UAH 273 million – fines).
*We remind you that this particular dispute became the biggest tax dispute of 2021 according to the newspaper “Yuridicheskaya Practicka”.
Despite the war and all the difficulties associated with it, “Shkrebets&Partners” continues to work.
It is very gratifying that in this year’s ranking “TOP-50 leading law firms of Ukraine” conducted by the 12publishing house “Yuridichna Practika” we entered the TOP-50, once again improving our positions, namely:
1. 29th place among the TOP-50 leading law firms of Ukraine, which is four positions higher than last year!
2. TOP-3 among regional firms in Ukraine.
We thank the publishing house “Yuridichna Practika” for the painstaking work of conducting research in this difficult time and for the high recognition.
The year 2022 was extremely difficult, especially for the Kharkiv business environment.
We have always been proud of the fact that the head office of Shkrebets&Partners is located in Kharkiv. So when the war started, most of us were in Kharkiv and experienced firsthand what war is like.
So the partner of Shkrebets and Partners, Oleksii Meniv, in his interview with the newspaper “Yuridichna Gazeta”, told how exactly the war affected the work of lawyers, what decisions had to be made in the conditions of a full-scale invasion and how we work now.
