Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered draft law No. 7437 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Support for Borrowers Who Have Lost Property Due to the Conduct of Hostilities.”
The specified legal act has already attracted the attention of borrowers and owners of real estate that was under mortgage and suffered as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has highlighted a number of issues that have been discussed in Ukrainian society from time to time, but have not had legislative development.

Andriy Sнvak, a partner of Shkrebets&Partners, has analyzed Bill 347348 “On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine to Increase Liability for Corruption during Martial Law”, which aims to significantly strengthen sanctions for illicit enrichment in the relevant period.
The project proposes the introduction of an additional feature to the disposition of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Treason” and the qualification of illicit enrichment during martial law and during the year after its termination or abolition as treason.
